Where is Huntington Beach, California?
In plain terms: Orange County, not LA, not San Diego
Huntington Beach sits in the northwest corner of Orange County, on the Southern California coast. People often assume anything near the beach in this part of the state is Los Angeles, but Huntington Beach is its own city in its own county, south of the Los Angeles line and well north of San Diego.
Its coastline runs for about nine and a half miles, one of the longest uninterrupted stretches of beach in the region. The Bolsa Chica wetlands sit at the north end, and Huntington Harbour, a residential harbor of islands and private docks, is tucked behind Sunset Beach.
