We respect copyright and expect the same. Most of the photography on this site is our own or licensed for our listings. If you believe something here uses your work without permission, tell us and we will take it down promptly while we look into it. You do not need a lawyer to start that conversation — an email is enough.

Sending a takedown notice

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your notice needs to include all six of these:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say was infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is fine.
3. The URL of each item you want removed, specific enough that we can actually find it.
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.

Send it to the agent above. We aim to respond within two business days. Knowingly filing a false notice carries liability for damages and attorney’s fees under §512(f), so please be sure before you send one.

If your content was removed

If we removed something of yours and you believe that was a mistake or that the use was authorized, you can send a counter-notice containing your signature, identification of what was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, and phone number, along with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or the Central District of California if you are outside the United States).

Repeat infringers

We terminate access for anyone who repeatedly infringes, in appropriate circumstances.

MLS and listing photography

Photographs of listings displayed here generally come from the MLS and are owned by the listing brokerage or the photographer who shot them. If you are the owner of a listing photograph and want it removed, the notice above is the fastest route, and you are also welcome to just call.
