The renovated private golf, tennis, and social club that anchors the Seacliff neighborhoods of Huntington Beach, formerly SeaCliff Country Club.
Direct answer
The Huntington Club is the private golf, tennis, dining, and social club in the Seacliff area of Huntington Beach, California, formerly known as SeaCliff Country Club. The 18-hole course opened in 1966, and the club was acquired and extensively renovated in recent years, a project associated with Travis Brasher, founder of the golf-apparel brand TravisMathew. It anchors the Seacliff neighborhoods, though membership is a separate decision from owning a home there. Ratowsky Group knows the club from the inside: Justin plays live music there and helps program its music calendar.
The Huntington Club is the private golf, tennis, dining, and social club in the Seacliff area of southwest Huntington Beach. It was formerly known as SeaCliff Country Club, and the 18-hole course opened in 1966. The Huntington Club is the current name; SeaCliff Country Club is historical only.
The club is the geographic and social anchor of Seacliff. The golf course threads through the area, and several of the most desirable estate streets back onto it. Living near or on the course is one thing; joining the club is another, and the two decisions are independent of each other.
The club was acquired and extensively renovated in recent years, a project associated with Travis Brasher, the founder of the golf-apparel brand TravisMathew. The renovation reimagined the clubhouse and amenities, with reported additions including a tennis clubhouse, a fitness center, a spa, and on-site bungalows and lofts.
The result is a more modern, more social club than the one many longtime Huntington Beach residents remember, and it has changed the feel of the surrounding Seacliff neighborhoods along with it.
The 18-hole course plays to a par of 72 and stretches to roughly 6,935 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 73.7 and a slope of 129. It opened in 1966 to a Press Maxwell design, was redesigned by Ron Fream in 1985, and had its 13th and 14th holes reworked by Ted Robinson in 1995.
Its position a short distance from the Pacific defines how it plays: afternoon ocean wind is a constant factor and mature oaks line many of the fairways. Several of Seacliff's most sought-after estate streets back directly onto the course, and those fairway-frontage lots carry a durable premium in the resale market.
The course at a glance
No. Membership in the Huntington Club is independent of owning a home in Seacliff. Living on a fairway-adjacent lot doesn't automatically grant membership, and joining the club doesn't require living in Seacliff. The club offers golf, tennis, dining, fitness, and social membership tiers, each with its own application.
When we work with buyers around the club, we keep the two questions separate: what the home is worth on its own, and whether club membership fits the lifestyle. Treating them as one number is a common and expensive mistake.
The Huntington Club offers a range of membership categories built around golf, tennis, dining, fitness, and social access, each with its own application and terms. Since the renovation the social and lifestyle side, the music, events, dining, fitness, and spa, has become as much of the draw as the golf itself.
Membership pricing, initiation, and availability are set by the club and change over time. Confirm the current tiers, dues, and any waitlist directly with the Huntington Club membership office before you factor a membership into a home decision.

Since the renovation, the Huntington Club has become a genuine live-music and events venue, with music most weekends, Friday through Sunday, plus signature events through the year such as the luau, the Seafood Bash, and private wine evenings.
Ratowsky Group is part of that scene from the inside. Justin played the club's first live music after the new ownership took over, helps program its music calendar, and performs there regularly, including first-Sunday brunch and Friday-night sets. His roots at the club run deeper still: he and his wife hosted cotillion there years before the renovation. The lifestyle film below, which Ratowsky Group produced and which runs on the club's own website, captures the day-to-day rhythm of the place.

The club is ringed by the Seacliff communities. Some back directly onto the course, others sit a short distance away, and each trades on its own terms.

“The club is the social center of Seacliff, and I see it from the inside. I played its first live music after the renovation, and I help book the calendar now. When I talk with buyers, I am clear that club membership is its own decision, separate from buying the house.”
