Choosing a Huntington Beach listing agent: what actually matters
Beyond the marketing, the questions worth asking before you hand someone the most valuable thing you own.

Choosing who lists your home is one of the higher-stakes decisions you will make, and the loudest pitch is rarely the right signal. A few things actually matter, and they're all checkable.
Local knowledge, block by block. Huntington Beach doesn't behave like one market. The agent should know your neighborhood and price band cold, not the city in the abstract.
A real track record on both sides. Ask for recent sales in your area, on both the buying and selling side, and ask to speak with recent clients in a similar situation. A balanced, verifiable record beats a list of slogans.
A marketing plan beyond the portals. Putting a home on the MLS is table stakes. Ask how they build demand before the public launch and how they create competition rather than wait for it.
Contract competence that protects you. A lot of agents don't read the contracts closely. Ask how they protect you through inspections, disclosures, and negotiation. On the water, ask specifically about seawalls, docks, and leases.
Honesty about price. A good listing agent will tell you what the market will actually reward, even when it's not what you hoped to hear, before you sign.
Weigh any team against those criteria, including ours. Ratowsky Group brings 58 years of combined experience as a father-son team, Craig selling Huntington Beach since 1977 and Justin a third-generation California Realtor, with a structured three-phase launch built to create competition. The right call is the one you can verify, not the loudest claim.
